Frequently asked

What exactly does SpinJacket do?
It shows the album jacket for whatever music is playing, framed full-screen on a monitor or TV. It figures out what's playing on its own and finds the original studio artwork, so your screen always matches the room.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows PC and a screen (a spare monitor or any TV). SpinJacket learns what's playing from a connected system like Sonos, BluOS, or Roon, from a line-in off your amp or mixer, or from the room microphone. An internet connection is used to fetch artwork.
How does it know what's playing?
Three ways, best first: it can read directly from Sonos, BluOS, Roon, or Spotify; it can take a line-in from your amp or DJ mixer; or it can listen with the room microphone. Direct connections and line-in are the most accurate.
What's a "screen," and how is pricing counted?
A screen is any TV or browser display you connect. Plans cover one computer per location and a number of screens: Plus includes 1, Pro includes 2 (add up to 10), and Pro Unlimited has no limit. Pricing is per location.
Can I run many TVs from one computer?
Yes, that's a Pro feature. One PC acts as the "brain" and streams to inexpensive streaming sticks on your other TVs. You pair each screen in seconds and can show different content on each.
Can I manage my locations remotely?
Yes, on Pro plans. Sign in to your account and change what's playing, swap promotions, and add or remove screens from your phone or the web, for one location or many. You can also give each location's manager access to just their own screens.
How do I add more screens later?
Change your plan any time. We prorate the difference, and everything you've already set up stays exactly as it is.
What happens if I downgrade or cancel?
Nothing you've configured is deleted, your settings come right back if you upgrade again. If you reduce your screen count, you choose which screens stay active; the others show a simple "over your plan's limit" message until you add capacity again.
Is my music or data private?
SpinJacket collects as little as possible and never sells your information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Is there a Mac, Android, or TV version?
The main app runs on Windows today, with more platforms coming. For televisions, SpinJacket Screens is available on the Amazon Appstore for Fire TV.
